Installing DIVA

In order to use DIVA, you'll need to create a directory to hold DIVA's m-files, download those files, unpack them, and then set up the MATLAB path to point to them.

Setting up the DIVA working folder.

1. Create a folder named working.
2. Download the DIVA mfiles zip file into the working folder. For a copy of the DIVA mfiles contact Steven Morris through www.conceptsymbols.com.
3. Unpack the zip file.

Unpacking will create a folder withing working with the following files and folders:

Setting up the MATLAB path

Start MATLAB and navigate to FILE/Set Path...

When the Set Path window appears, select Add with Subfolders...

Browse to the working folder and select MFILES_diva.

Select OK - A series of 10 folders will show on the MATLAB search path in the Set Path window.

Select Save on the Set Path window. Then select Close to close the window.

You are now ready to use DIVA.
