Reference cocitation report
The reference cocitation report is a simple report that lists the references in the order that they appear on the cocitation dendrogram. For each reference, if it has a corresponding paper in the database, the title of the paper is given. This report is useful for exploring groups of references, particularly in case studies where most of the highly cited references have corresponding papers in the database. A report generator for a more comprehensive referernce cocitation report has been written but is currently undergoing revision (January, 2008).
Generating the reference cocitation report.
- To generate the reference cocitation report, on the TFGUI window, select Reports > Cocitation clusters.
- The report will appear in the project directory with the filename fred_coc.rtf.
Description of the reference cocitation report.
- The reference list appears in the same order as it appears on the research front to reference crossmap.
- Each item in the list has four items presented in the following order:
- Order This number gives the reference's order number on the dendrogram
- Reference number This number gives the reference leaf number as it appears on the dengdrogram on reference crossmaps and other maps.
- Reference The reference is given in ISI reference format.
- Title The title appears on the line below the reference. If there is no paper corresponding to the reference in the database, then the message Paper not in database appears.
